Rebecca completed her veterinary degree at the University of Cambridge in 2007, and subsequently worked for three years in small animal first opinion practice. In 2010, she started a PhD at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and completed her thesis on ‘Calcium-phosphate Homeostasis in Feline Chronic Kidney Disease’ in 2014, before going on to complete a rotating internship and a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Rebecca gained her Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2018 and became an RCVS Specialist in 2020. She currently works at the RVC and is interested in all aspects of internal medicine, but particularly in canine and feline nephrology and endocrinology. Rebecca currently holds grants from Pet Plan, the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Winn Feline Foundation to investigate feline calcium and phosphate-related disorders, including calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis.
