Paola qualified from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2002. Paola obtained a Master’s degree in Veterinary Small Animal Cardiology in 2004 and moved to the UK in 2005. After three years in small animal practice, Paola started Residency in Clinical Pathology at the University of Cambridge and obtained both the ACVP and FRCPath diplomas. In 2015, Paola achieved RCVS Specialist Status. Paola joined DWR in 2012 as a clinical pathologist specialist with a special interest in cytology. Paola is a Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) examiner for veterinary clinical pathology, author of several publications and co-author and editor of Differential Diagnosis in Small animal Cytology: The Skin and Subcutis’ and of the ‘Cytology’ and ‘Quality Assurance’ chapters from the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Clinical Pathology.
