Following graduation from the R(D)SVS Edinburgh, Deborah completed a small animal rotating internship at Glasgow Vet School and then returned to Edinburgh to undertake a PhD in immunology at The Roslin Institute, followed by a residency in veterinary dermatology. Deborah obtained her Edinburgh Teaching Award in 2018, allowing her to become a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (FHEA) and gained her European Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology in 2020, becoming a European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology. She is currently a lecturer in Dermatology at the R(D)SVS. Deborah has published widely and has a particular interest in novel targets to control canine atopic dermatitis and genetic skin disease.
