Clive Elwood gained his ACVIM Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 1995 after a Residency at The Royal Veterinary College in the UK. A Masters in Immunology and a PhD followed. He was admitted as an early member of the ECVIM and served on the first examination committee He has been an ECVIM Board member, examiner, served on and chaired Appeals committees. He established the first ECVIM Residency Training Program in private practice and was founding chairman of the Small Animal Medicine Society.
Clive spent over 20 years in private referral practice, running and growing the internal medicine service, including training residents, and was Managing Director for 10 years before leaving that role in 2019 to pursue a new phase of his career in executive coaching, writing and leadership development. He has completed a Masters in Executive Coaching at Ashridge Hult Business School, is an Ashridge Accredited Coach, and holds the European Mentoring and Coaching Council Individual Accreditation at Senior Practitioner Level.
