Registration FAQs

For general practice vets and nurses, BSAVA Alba 2022 offers an immersive programme designed to support the basic and advanced skills required in first opinion practice!

Although some sessions will be more aligned to nurses or vets, the lectures and practical's can be attended by all professions.

Alba 2022 welcomes:

  • Veterinary Surgeons

  • Practice Managers & Owners

Ticket includes:

  • entrance to BSAVA Alba at Macdonald Inchrya Hotel Falkirk for either the full weekend or your preferred day (Friday 16 - Saturday 17 September)
  • access to all lecture rooms, delegates can attend any lecture within the vet, nurse or open to all streams
  • networking with colleagues and industry representatives in the exhibition zone
  • buffet lunch and refreshments each day from designated catering points
  • opportunity to add practical sessions to your booking (additional cost) and get hands-on with practical CPD

Yes! If you are looking to send the whole practice, we can offer 20% discount on all listed registration categories when booking four or more tickets.

The BSAVA Congress team will be onsite throughout the event, and you can find us based at the Registration area located in the Inchyra Suite main foyer.

On your arrival to the venue, you can enter the event from the "Inchyra Suite" entrance located at the far end of the car park.  

All passes for delegates, speakers and exhibitors will be available to collect onsite on the day you arrive. Just head to the registration area located in the Inchyra Suite foyer.

Lectures are divided into Vet, Nurse and Open to All Streams (all attendees may attend any lecture within any stream).

  • Veterinary Lectures are in the Wallace Suite
  • Open to All Lectures are in the Bruce Suite
  • Nurse Lectures are in the Grange Suite (1st floor)
  • Practical Workshops are in the Earl Suite

The Exhibition will take place in the Menteith Suite.

The Gala Dinner is taking place in the Bruce Suite on the Friday evening.

During the breaks, all attendees are welcome to enjoy complimentary refreshments and lunch, served at the catering points located in the Inchyra Suite main foyer.

Absolutely! Just visit the registration area located in the Inchrya Suite foyer, and the team will be happy to help book your ticket.

When purchasing your main delegate pass online, simply add the Gala Dinner ticket to your booking. 

If you are already registered, pop to the registration desk onsite and check for Gala ticket availability, and make your purchase there.

When purchasing your main delegate pass online, simply add the Workshop(s) you would like to attend, to your booking.

If you are already registered, pop to the registration desk onsite and check for session availability, and the team will get you booked on!

Each lecture and practical workshop equals 1 Hour / 1 CPD Point.

With a choice of between 15-18 lectures and workshops each day, you can collect a total of up to 10 hours of CPD over the weekend.

Self-completing CPD certificates will be available at the end of the event for you to record your attendance.

If you need to cancel/amend your booking:

  • All cancellations must be made in writing and will be acknowledged in writing.
  • Cancellations of Alba registrations for 2022 made on or before 17 August 2022 will receive a full refund minus a (£25 administration fee).
  • Cancellations made between 18 August 2022 and 31 August 2022 will receive a 50% refund.
  • Any cancellations received after 31 August 2022 will not receive a refund.
  • Name replacements can be made at any time before the start of the event.
  • 2-Day Passes cannot be split between attendees.
  • Cancellations of the social event ‘Gala Dinner’ made on or before 31 August 2022 will be fully refunded. After this date no refunds will be given.
  • Cancellations of booked practicals made prior to the event will be fully refunded, however no shows will not receive any refund.
  • Cancellations will be processed following the live event.

If we need cancel/amend your booking:

  • We aim to provide the event as described but we reserve the right to cancel/amend the event as required and where possible, we shall provide you with reasonable notice, however it is ultimately your responsibility to ascertain if the event has been cancelled/amended.
  • Whilst the programme is correct at the time of publishing, the BSAVA reserves the right to change details of the event without notice. All best endeavours will be made to present the programme as publicised, however, alterations may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • In the case that we must cancel the event/part of, we will offer full (or partial if an alternative is available and agreed) refund. Please allow 90 days for your refund to be processed. We will not otherwise be liable to you for any expenses, losses or costs that you incur in relation to the event.


We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage caused to or suffered by you as a direct or indirect result of a failure by us to perform any of our obligations in relation to an event to the extent that the failure is caused by events, circumstances or causes beyond our control.
